Changes

Melanie's campaign was successful. 

Her campaign office is now closed. The piece of paper on the door advises that she is now looking for a constituency office. 

The former will have been paid for by her party. The latter will be funded by the taxpayers.

By coincidence I also walked past her predecessor's (former) constituency office this afternoon. One of his staffers was just leaving. The taxpayer funding includes redundancy payments to his staff, and the cost of closing up his office. 

I wonder how Melanie will turn out.
