Cheesewring Star trail
This is one of the Cheesewrings on Bodmin Moor. I have rarely had such a "good" week weather wise in Cornwall. Wall to wall sunshine, and only a few wispy clouds. This was great news for star trails, except that half way through getting the photos for this shot a cloud (how dare it) blew over the sky. It cleared fairly quickly, but there were others on the way, so had to call a close sooner than I had hoped, but I had got enough photos to get a good star trails photo.
This is composed of 100 photos, which are then layered in Photoshop, and merged with the lighten mode. The Cheesewring itself is illuminated with a flash.
I should have used a higher ISO to get a better result, so ended up having to push the levels fairly hard in photoshop in the end to get a good result, but it doesn't detract too much from the end result.
