Day out on the train
Today my husband and I were both off which is a rare occurrence so we decided to make the most of our free rail travel in Scotland and get on the first train that left Waverley Station.
This happened to be one going to Dunblane. Dunblane is a beautiful town although unfortunately become more well known world wide due to the tragic shooting in the primary school on 13 March 1996. We have both never been before and enjoyed exploring the small town before waiting for the train back to our next destination.
The above shot was taken when the train was moving from one rail to the other back into the station and I had to laugh that we had become a couple of "train spotters" more so since my husband started working with the company.
Next stop before going home was Stirling. We had a wander around the shops before going up the hill towards the castle exploring other buildings on the way.
We had a great afternoon and it was good to go somewhere else for the day. We are both worn out now after all the walking but are considering going to the cinema this evening that is if we can agree on a film to go and see!
