Pitter patter pitter on the window pane.

I woke at 4:25 to the lovely relaxing sound of rain gently falling from the heavens onto the roof of Amadeus.
It was a morning of administrative tasks, accounts and responding to emails.
I dressed for drizzle heading for Roadford Reservoir and the countryside was enjoying the rainfall although a couple of hefty cloudbursts required some swift movements to select a suitable tree to act as an alternative umbrella.
I came across a lady selling eggs from the chickens that wander around her garden. Asked if I could collect them on my return trip a few hours later, no problem.
The car park and cafeteria at roadford were virtually empty.
The Jolly staff were grateful for some banter and the sale of a hot chocolate, I sat near to some locals who offered me their freshly cooked chips they couldn’t finish!
I gratefully accepted and again some banter and laughter ensued.
The return journey was enjoyable spotting several woodpeckers, Nuthatches, Jays and plenty of others.
The four legged beasts that were in the surrounding meadows were fascinated by my red showerproof top.
A quick shower and load up the site washing machine before heading to Waitrose for some vital supplies. The buddleia and rowan berries were in the car park and caught my attention.
In the shop there were very few people and I enjoyed a saunter astonished by the price of some of the non essential products that were on display.
I managed to force myself to buy some bananas, conference pears and some items to accompany the shark I had removed from my freezer earlier today.
A young lady who was running the fish counter asked me if I wanted anything as I had a wobbly leg moment surveying the fish prices. There was a Dover sole with a reduced label so I made a cheeky offer She accepted. I asked the lady to skin it for me which she duly obliged.£2.50!
Back to Amadeus and a preparation of my coconut and lemongrass stir fry with shark as the protein part.
A sneaky Clementine and lemon mousse must’ve jumped into my shopping basket!
Very tasty, it was too :)
