Sunlight on the Frome
Dear Blippers
This is the river Frome at Brimscombe, on the Hope Mill Lane trading estate. I walked up towards the main road after finishing my second job. It was still blisteringly hot, and CleanSteve came along in the car and pulled in at the parking space beside the river. Just as I got in, we saw a duck with two ducklings, so we both hopped out again with our cameras. Unfortunately we couldn't get any sharp shots, so I wandered off to look at the river from the other side of the bridge.
The light was amazing, but the scene short of focal points. So I've taken one of the shafts of light as a focal, and put it through the comic filter, to make it more abstract and marbled.
I'm off on a day trip tomorrow, to sunny Warwickshire. Have got strawberries and picnic rug lined up for a perfect day!
Thanks for looking, and I will try to catch up on other people's journals. What with the grand tidy-up, stage 99, and the long summer evenings, I seem to be always on the go. Sounds familiar?
Bomble is really well now, and thanks you for all the love and good wishes that have made him back into a Meerkat again (standing up on his hind legs, miaowing and pleading for food). A week ago he was hardly eating at all.
Have a sparkling weekend
love,
Woodpeckers
