... as it often is, when I read the news.
It's a lovely little tune, written by Charlie Chaplin. It's the first thing I play on the guitar, when I just need a bit of fun, without thinking too much about it. Or anything else for that matter.
I play it in C and with nylon strings I can even imagine myself as Charlie Byrd and throw in a few jazzy diddly bits. Which is not too difficult (for me) in that key. It's just like playing only the white notes on the piano.
And in case you're wondering it's a household sponge. So I can also whistle while I work.
