My Lovely Girl: Macro Practice (7)
I wanted to get some portraits of Honey, but to keep her interested, I had a stem of dried lavender in my left hand which I moved around (see the middle part of the collage). That one isn't quite sharp, but it's to show the 'tool' I used to keep those big round eyes interested!
These were all taken with my 60mm macro lens, I started off inside this morning and then moved outside when the morning brightened up after rain in the night.
I have not enhanced these in any way. I just lightened one or two. The colour of her fur and eyes is exactly as it appears. Her eyes are green with a hint of blue, surrounded by a rim of gold. Her daddy's eyes are turquoise and her mummy's light green.
Her tawny colouring reminds me of a wild Puma among the big cats.
She is fantastic company and we suit each other perfectly!
There are so many famous quotations about cats, I must put them up from time to time. This morning, I read this one:
"The smallest feline is a masterpiece." –Leonardo da Vinci
Praise indeed from the Master.
