'Little Boy Fishing on a Wooden Bridge'
Another hot day here in Stogumber and because of that, I took Phoebe out for a walk down to the village shop early. My mission was to buy a ticket for our Village Concert so that Mr A could come. For everything that happens here, the village shop/post office becomes the ticket office. And at only £5 each they're pretty inexpensive. This year we are having a Festival of Music in the church/village hall with famous artists attending. I forgot to mention when I blipped the church on 10th, that Van Morrison visited a few years ago and recorded an album in our little church. Our local talent concert is to raise money for the BIG event.
I have digressed (again), so on the way back from the centre of the village I allowed Phoebe to have a padddle. I had never realised just how much she loves water and before I knew it she was trying to immerse herself even further!!
In the background you can see our little bridge where over the years we have played 'poo sticks' with Adrian and Matthew. Ade always cheets, throwing his stick in before anyone else. Not sure whether he does it deliberately or if he just wants to get on with it. I'll never know.
Tomorrow is Yeovilton Air Show and because of that Matthew is home ready for an early start. It's going to be hot so I've been looking for a hat other than a peak job for Matty to try and shield his face from the sun's rays when he looks up at the sky.
He's had his favourite tea - chicken curry and tomorrow wants fish/chips. That has blown my diet again.
Keep cool, thank you for visiting and sharing my life, and enjoy the weekend whatever you're doing!!
