The Long Train Home

Three trains later, and I'm home. The journey was smooth, but the trains stopped at every station possible to make up for the cancelled trains. As a result, we caught the last of the sunset as we came over the Forth Rail Bridge.

The extra shows just how effective the trains strikes are.... people are just not travelling on these days. Other than the Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness train, which was packed. Such a beautiful leg of the journey too.

Before we got on the train, we picked up a fresh prawn salad for the journey. The prawns had been caught the night before, were cooked this morning and shelled, and added to the salad whilst we waited. They were incredible.
