Archeology

To restore Orkneyology's faith in Archeology as a profession, here is a team hard at work in the sunshine on the lawn of Grey's Court in Oxfordshire.  I think they are looking for a lost gatehouse to the Norman Great Tower built in the late 11th or early 12th century.  Most of the house you can see in the background is Tudor but with many alterations over the centuries.  The extra has a few glimpses of the garden that looked wonderful in the unaccustomed sunshine today.
