Pop Pop Bang Pop
After a not very high achieving day I persuaded Biscuit to take me out for some fresh air. The weather had cleared somewhat during the afternoon so 'the little bike that can' agreed.
We bimbled through Broadbottom, up & down through New Mills and on to Whaley Bridge. I was going to & sit at the canal wharf for half an hour but upon arriving found the picnic benches unwelcoming. The big hand had past 30, the little heading towards 9 and dusk was edging closer. Some summer would be nice before the winter solstice please?!
To avoid the A6 before heading back northwards, I turned up towards Toddbrook Reservoir and headed towards Macclesfield the quiet way. Almost immediately my eyes spotted some tiny text on a little red post box and stopping to investigate confirmed it was from Lion Foundry. Smaller than last week's find but one for the log all the same.
The lane twisted it's way to Macc' via Rainbow. There was hardly a soul around, especially behind and so was a pretty relaxing little run without any impatient drivers tailgating. I was minded to turn off earlier to Potts Shrigley as there's a nice route back from there back towards Marple but the light was fading fast and your Gal fancied a cuppa and a cuppa was had whilst checking the weather forecast for the next few days...(touch wood)...sunshine :-)
