Solomon's seal Sawfly

These little grey beasties are making short work of the leaves. they don't harm the plant and it will be back next year  All I will be left with are the stems which can go into the compost. They do not eat any other plant. Strange little caterpillars! once they have had their fill they drop into the ground and the next year the sawfly puts the eggs into the stem of the plant,
