Wall Plaque

This is high up on the front wall of our house, and tells everyone what they could see back in 1890. 'Crosshill View' has long since become obscured by lots of mature trees and houses.

We have lived on the street since 1982, and in that time our view across the narrow valley and up the hill has gone.  

On some roads it is interesting to see these name and date plaques on terraced houses in particular. The dates would often be later further away from the town centres, and built in small numbers needing to sell them before building more.
