Stairway to heaven....

A damp start ,so it took until 11am before sheep were dry enough to start shearing.
We were doing the balckie ewes on one of the hills. A two stand trailer today ,but we got there in the end. By 7 pm everything was shorn and heading back to their lambs.
Meanwhile the herd was busy shutting in more sheep here ready for tomorrow morning when the contractors will be back. If things go to plan all the sheep on the place should be done by tomorrow night.
This big crane was working at the sand and gravel quarry. Seemingly the guy on the loading shovel had been using the huge metal intake hopper that feeds the conveyor belt as a brake and had managed to knock it out of line. This meant that the very expensive rubber conveyor belt was running squint and wearing one side out. So they had to get the crane to try and lift the hopper back into place. I presume the driver of the loading shovel is no longer the driver of the loading shovel !
The crane still had about 5 or 6 sections that could extend so it must go to some height.....
