Shy Cockerel

Not what we were expecting to find in the  Botanic Gardens in Dunedin. We were looking for some colour in the  wintry looking gardens when this chap appeared from the undergrowth.  He definitely didn’t want his photo taken - it took about ten attempts to get one!  Did find a colourful flower in extra.
