A walk along the canal

It was warm, humid and slightly overcast with a slight threat of rain. Seemed like the perfect weather for a walk along the canal this afternoon. From the old Craigmarloch to the Boathouse for ice cream and back. The Boathouse decking was the perfect place to enjoy some ice cream. Orla’s old friend Fraser was working there.

We saw a couple of canal boats tootling along and chatted about what it would be like on a boating holiday. Like a floating pod, we thought. But no WiFi! Surprisingly, Conor said “Good!” and mentioned something about missing out on the scenery if there was WiFi, as if acknowledging that the mere existence of WiFi would mean he would have no choice but to be using it.
