Wash and brush up

I hadn't even got to the start of my walk when I spotted this jay on the kerb. They normally dash off but this one didn't. I watched for ages and even got out of the car to check he was OK. He flew straight up into the tree and as I climbed back in and shut the door, he came straight back to the same spot and continued his morning ritual.  

Gone by the time I came back!
