Greyfriars Organ Festival

We discovered by accident a lunchtime series of organ recitals in Greyfriars Kirk and, being free today, took ourselves down to hear John Kitchen. This was a different repertoire from those at the Usher Hall but equally enjoyable.

Chatting with one of the church members afterwards we were joined by an old friend, M R, whose choir we joined as 'ballast' some years ago, when he was the organist at Pilrig Church trying to form a choir for a couple of concerts. He later studied for the ministry, did his placement at Greyfriars and now works in the USA.
On leave visiting family he brought his daughter to the recital - we saw more of her toy rabbit than her face, so I'm comfortable showing this photo on social media.
