Fun in Findhorn

Tuesday
The weather forecast was looking good for today so we decided to go over to Findhorn. It’s one of our favourite places and has a great buzz about it.
We arrived just before lunch and went to the Captains Table for something to eat. It does not look that much from the outside, abit wind beaten, but it’s nice inside. We found a table seat with lovely views to the bay ( photo of the boats in the collage ) . I had Cullen skink with chunky bread and Mike had Fish and chip, both very good .
After. We went for a walk on the beach. Not that easy to get to as the high tides had pushed the stones up so we had to be careful climbing down. The tide was out so there was a large expanse of sand. So clean and it’s been named as one of the best beaches in Scotland. We sat for a while and people and dogs watched. We could see a row of seals hauled out on a sand back. They looked like they were floating.
Back to get an icecream sitting in the sun as the unexpected clouds had cleared. Very tasty.
Next we went to Loch of Blair’s. We had not been here before but it was a lovely walk next to a Loch. We did not go all the way round but found a bench to sit on and watched the ducks this time. Very peaceful. Lots of nice trees with the Heather coming out underneath.
Popped into Sainsburys on the way home as we had a voucher to spend. It’s our nearest branch as there is not one in the Inverness area.
Home and rolls for tea
