Sedge Warbler

Mistakenly I thought that there would be hundreds of dragonflies careering up and down the canal but in fact the only movements/ripples were the ducks  enjoying the sun. 

Flitting in and out of the bushes on the banks were the sedge warbler parents still feeding their fledged youngsters under cover of the reeds and branches. 

The decorator has finished today, yippee!! The roofer turned up and also finished today so all good; when it rains this weekend as is forecast we will see if the roof holds. I've put away the buckets - maybe I should have just waited. Hope I'm not tempting fate.
