OOh Look…Another Butterfly

I was out shortly after 7 o’clock this morning…a glorious sunny day. It was (relatively) cool at that time.

Plenty of butterflies around (again) but mostly white or brown ones..apart from this single  colourful one…a small tortoiseshell on some ragwort.

A day of laundry .. mostly bedding .. and it has been drying well out on the line.

While I was pegging some out, another colourful flying object skimmed the tree tops at the back of our garden…I managed to run in to collect a camera..no time to adjust any settings..see the result in extras today.

The helicopter made a few circuits around the village…mostly out of sight. I have no idea what they were doing…but from their website PDG Aviation Services seems to be an aerial film/survey company…
