We hardly ever see female Pileated Woodpeckers snacking at our BarkButter feeders. Males? Sure! Everyday! So what brought this Girl (no red mustache) out? I can only guess that the boys have been spreading the news that we provide a safe, reliable food source as well as a bog from which to quench one's thirst and to bathe in occasionally.
