The accidental finding

Cloud-free Friday

I'm pleased to say that the 'global outage' did not affect me at all. From what I have read, it probably didn't affect our surgeries either, as we don't use the records system called EMIS that was caught up in the confusion.

I got out the camping gear today and started testing it. I've even blown up the airbed I have no memory of seeing before. Next Friday I go to WOMAD festival, then on to a campsite on the Gower, then back to Chepstow, still in Wales, for the Green Gathering, another festival.

Trying to take less stuff this year. That will be do-able but I'll have to rein in my impulse to be Very Useful and take everything in case anyone needs it.

Today was Very Hot. I wore my shorts for the first time this year. V.  came round, also in shorts, and we went down to the Trinity Rooms for lunch, and found it as busy as usual.

Having eaten, we drove out of town to the lake at Frampton Court. Usually when I go with Steve, he takes photos of birds and I like on a rug near the water, read and commune with geese. However, V doesn't like the sun (she is South African Indian!) so we sat under a tree for a while, then ended up going for a fairly long walk through the estate to the village, and then looping around via the Gloucester and Sharpness canal and the church, ending up back on the estate. V had only been to the pub at Frampton on Severn but hadn't really seen the film-set village or the canal before.I think she loved it, and it's quite near to where she lives. The sculpture in my blip is located on the Frampton Court Estate.

When I got back I had to sort out the washing I'd hung out earlier, and carry on with sorting out yet more clothes, something occasioned by my looking for a holdall to take to the festivals!  I've got another bag  of clothing set aside for the charity shop. Clean Steve is making a start on his wardrobe too.

Since making supper, I've been lazing around mostly, and of course checking a few more camping essentials.
