Halford
Hollie and I walked around Halford and out onto the Wart Hill Wander - a ten mile circuit that would be too much for me in such heat. 28 degrees today and we needed to stay near the river so Hollie could cool off.
We did walk about three miles in the end and she had a lot of fun swimming in the deepest part - treading water against a strong current.
Lots of Buzzard and Red Kite overhead and very few people about. I did meet a man walking the full circuit and he looked pretty fashed, and was looking forward to a rest and some refreshment at the Craven Arms Discovery Centre.
I also introduced myself to S, the owner of this fabulous house. Nice to put a face to the name as they say. S is a blip follower and a jolly nice chap too!
This afternoon I took the plunge and spent a good couple of hours strimming and mowing the grass bank outside our property. It was very overgrown and untidy. It looks liike somebody cares now and I have lost two stone in weight. Boy it was warm.
Glad of a shower and a chilled beer to end the day...
Phew!
