amongst the redwoods

had a lovely day out with my mum today. We started with lunch in a pub garden (always a good start!) along a road close to two locations where my mum worked in the past.  70 years ago she used to cycle to a job at Ilford films then many years later she was a volunteer driver at the nearby hospice for 20 years until age 80. We made a social visit to the hospice today but unfortunately no one she worked with was around. Also in the area is a large group of giant redwood trees so we had a walk to see these and explore the local church.
