Amy and Daniel
Up bright and early on Saturday to celebrate the marriage of my cousin Amy and her fiancé (now husband!) Daniel. With nine bridesmaids, three bridesmen and the mother and father of the bride to get ready the morning was all a little chaotic, not helped by the fact that the minibus driver who picked us up had no sat nav and no idea where he was going. Good one. Thank God for my brother's iPhone.
The ceremony and reception took place in a lovely church in Hampstead Heath, the sun shone, Amy looked breathtakingly beautiful, the ceremony was touching and lots of music with a live band made the occasion very enjoyable indeed. Photos in the sunshine were had, sandwiches and scones were eaten, Pimms was drunk, champagne was drunk, the wedding breakfast was eaten (very yummy it was too) and we started the evening very well fed and watered and probably a few pounds heavier than when we arrived! The speeches were great and Amy and Daniel told their very amusing and serendipitous little story too before dancing was done.
All in all it was a very lovely day, and all the better for being spent with family, and for seeing my cousin married to her perfect man. They are such a beautiful couple and I can't wait to see more of them and see where life takes them. They are both so passionate and talented that I am sure their adventure will be a good one.
Ended the day lying flat on my back across Mum, James and Granny's laps in the back of the taxi that was too small for the five of us (including Grandad too!) Very strange watching the world go by upside down and glad to get home, happy and sleepy after a long day!
