Multible Celebrations

We had lots of reasons to celebrate today and the crew in our Failte House of Hospitality, for volunteers, put on an amazing array of delectable cuisines.
As you can see the table can accommodate a small army!!. We also have beds for 15 and extra mattresses for the floors!!
Itidea started with the Harisen's birthday which was overshadowed by Alepher's Conferring by the Malawi Vice-President in the Ecuindeni Nursing College, then the news came that Fatima, Harisen and Charity's daughter had topped her class in the Beehive school, in the Cambridge Exams at the end of Primary education, scoring in the top percentile in Mathematics and Science (My kinda girl). Then we'll call it a celebration but it wasn't really: that was Ben's departure home to Ireland, after taking Rural Mzuzu by storm.
Alipher's Conferring will have more photos when the network improves.
I suppose this is one of the most fascinating stories of beating the crap out of the odds, of overcoming adversity, of setting one's sights and going-for-it, and smiling through it.
She works with us now as a nurse and much more, but will soon be posted to any of the far corners of the Country, but we have great hopes that she will return to us.
A little note: she has been great, but the greatest pain in the ass of all my girls, she refuses to cycle, but we are working on it, and a few miles walking in the new high heels will certainly change her mind!! Oh just to show the love, I got all dressed up in a suit for the Conferring, and that's saying something.
Mary spoke lovingly of the amazing progress of the Wellie Family and a great night was had by all.
A whole other day happened between dawn and dusk, but that's another story
