Dance Day in Town…
… And Photo Challenge Day.
We have both tested negative now (Covid-wise)… Not necessarily feeling 100%… But at least safe to go out in the fresh air today.
Just, sadly, a day too late for the family wedding..
But, the consolation prize is to take part in the Photo Challenge. (We would have been away). It’s a sweet challenge. You arrive in the morning, register and are given six subject titles. (Like ‘’Looking Good’, or ‘High’, you get the picture, pun intended).
You have to create six images only, but in the order given. At the end you hand in your compact flash card/phone/whatever, after some five or six hours. And they upload/download (?? I have never understood the difference) your six images for judging.
The challenge is to NOT suddenly find a perfect image for subject title number one, when you’re on image four! Because by then it’s too late, unless you begin again…
It’s much harder than it sounds when the clock is ticking (and the weather doesn’t play ball).
After I’d handed in my entries I realised there had been people in town in Victorian costume and that the Morris Dancers were in town. And there had been a wedding at the church next to the competition venue! :-)
My lone geranium (‘Looking Good’ as it might be) will not compete with such subjects!
And I burned the lunch! (By ‘burned’ I mean, ‘left it in the oven, utterly forgotten’, for four hours!). Cremated.
As I said, not quite 100%. Yet.
