Capturing my Journey

Incoming thunderstorm

A severe warned one. In fact this mornings awakening was a thunderstorm. We awoke at usual time and I thought I heard a rumble in the distance turned on my phone and lightning was striking just south of us so I took the dogs out for quick toilets and gave pip her calming chews then went back to sipping my morning tea. We saw a really close strike and the loudest blast of thunder I've heard in a while one of those crack then the whole house shakes and you can feel it through the ground. Anyway the storm passed through and I took the dogs out for a nice walk after.  I spent some time feeding my garden plants since it was a little cooler and the sun was behind clouds. I knew we had more thunderstorms due in the afternoon so as I saw them getting closer I took the dogs out for a walk then watched this storm approach. A wee bit of rain good strong wind and plenty of thunder and lightning. Thankfully it settled down by the time we were heading out for our 2 hour kickboxing seminar we were going to. Good seminar tightning up and tidying our techniques.

"I have seen many storms in my life. Most storms have caught me by surprise, so I had to learn very quickly to look further and understand that I am not capable of controlling the weather, to exercise the art of patience and to respect the fury of nature." - Paulo Coelho
