The new cycle path...

...along the front at Tynemouth is now complete...

A wide pedestrian way, a dedicated cycle lane, and one way traffic south to north - all running pretty smoothly - lower picture!

It kept Roy and I amused this morning, watching a procession of cars doing a U turn because they couldn't get any further than The Grand, made more difficult by the steady stream of pedestrians heading for the beach - top picture ;)

We had a spot of lunch, then headed south to my sister's. Only one tunnel open, so we queued a bit. 

Within a mile of Stokesley we ran into the fallout from an accident, so we had to do a detour. Time for a cuppa in the garden followed by a lovely picky tea, before an uneventful drive home ( where we shall be staying for a while now! )
