Summer Garden Action

I took advantage of a cooler morning to sit outside on the patio, holding my camera, just hoping for a hummer visit. I don't have the feeder out this year because I'm away too often to ensure it stays clean, so I planted red and blue salvia instead. Fortunately, they have found it and two hummers were around today. The main blip was captured against the light gray color of the house, so it created a clean background. I also spotted one taking a snooze on a branch, and a noisy Northern Flicker in the tree overhead (extras).
