Witley Court
Walked around Witley Court with daughter J this morning, it was overcast but quite warm & humid. Witley Court is run by English Heritage so we were making use of our newly acquired membership.
In the 1890s fashionable society flocked to Witley Court, including one frequent royal visitor, the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII. The centre piece is the Perseus and Andromeda fountain.
We went for a coffee & cake at the Tea Rooms then J went on home & I returned home briefly before picking up my sister C & going to see Mum in the care home. It was a bit chaotic, the residents all have dementia & some were pacing through the lounge, others wanted to catch the bus or go for a walk up the street, it’s so hard to know the right thing to say as none of that is possible for them.
