Cattle show

Another very busy day - this time the South Uist cattle show. It’s the first year it has returned since the lockdown of Covid-19. The girls enjoyed seeing the sheep in the ring. Here’s Muireann getting some tips on what to look for by Sketch who helps us with all things crofting.

The girls also entered various craft and produce categories in the show and did very well! Muireann came second with her clay blackface sheep and sugar snap peas. Rowan won with her shell chicken and peas, and came second with her sea themed marbelled artwork.

And it’s becoming quite a habit - Rowan picked up a trophy for her age group! She loves the trophies.
