House for an Artlover

Having lunch at this beautiful building in Glasgow after a quiet stroll through the walled gardens.

It was completed in 1996 to a design by Charles Rennie McIntosh and his wife, entered into a competition in 1901 for a German design magazine . The entry was disqualified because it didn't meet the deadline but was finally built here in Glasgow in Bellahouston Park.

It is the most beautiful building inside and very popular for weddings and other celebrations . I can highly recommend the restaurant too and today we are even sitting outside! Bliss!

At the beginning of August I've booked in for a 3 day landscape painting course here, which I'm really looking forward to.
