Nine cygnets swimming

Walked down to the Leith Farmers market fairly early by the Water of Leith path; first sighting for me of the nine cygnet swan family, last seen when they were still in eggs by Victoria Bridge. It was a lovely morning for a walk; also spotted a vole, and a young dunnock on the path.

The market was somewhat flustered by lack of its normal electricity supply; bought basil plants and cheese, and met up with @meles who was buying pies. We talked over coffee, not at the market but at Relish.
Back by tram, just beginning to be busy.

Sorted out plants including the new pelargonium into pots.
Day dry until late afternoon, when rain set in for the evening.
