Paddy fields in Azumino in summer

A cyclist in the midst of the vast stretches of paddy fields in Azumino (Nagano prefecture) with the Japanese Alps in the background: the environment is engulfed in the restful sound of the water (for irrigation) running through the fields, the crickets, the birds and the gentle summer breeze, only to be occasionally disturbed by the engine roars of cars passing through the roads that cut through the fields.
