Raymond

A day of memories! I don't do canals any more.

Raymond is the last wooden narrowboat ever built - in 1958 - much restored since. It's a buttyboat (no engine). Behind is Nutfield (launched 1936), Raymond's original motorboat. I've taken my turn driving the pair on the Grand Union.

The event was the Cosgrove Canal Festival organised by the Buckingham Canal Society, of which I was the first Chair, in 1992.
