Watch out, there's a blipper about

There weren't many people in the Roman amphitheatre at Caerleon today, though there was one small lad with a sword, doing what the Romans used to.

Whether OB will blip what he was photographing here, I cannot yet tell you... Update - he has posted a very nice pic of my Australian hat instead!

We'd driven our friend Milli down to Newport on the first leg of her journey to Australia, so we though we'd have an outing to Caerleon on the way back.

It's a curious place. Shades of Glastonbury, which one doesn't expect on the outskirts of Newport. I think it's because Some Do Say that King Arthur and his Round Table took over where the Romans left off.

Now we're home for cool drinks and a seat in the shade.
