Tough day over at the farm sorting through mum's things ready for the sale. We hired a lorry to bring back the piano and the cycle rickshaw we got for our wedding. Tried to be ruthless but ended up bringing lots of other stuff back as well. Mum got a bit teary looking through old photos and just being in the house but she told me she loves it at the home and if she can't be at the farm she is so glad she is there. She has put on some weight now she's eating properly and is looking really well. We all had a few tears when we locked up.
I know it's not happening just yet, I just can't imagine never being able to go there again. It's not your average house- it's just really unique and special but it does need so much work doing to it and it's way beyond what we could afford. Plus the kids wouldn't want to live out in the sticks. Fingers crossed for our numbers on the lottery though!!
The piano weighs a tonne- luckily Eddie and Ant came to help get it in the house at the other end! The room we are putting out in finally isn't decorated yet and probably won't be for a long while yet so will leave getting it tuned until it's in its final resting place. It doesn't sound too off key despite it's long journey.
