Paddling pool

Both of our dogs love the water and we usually have trouble keeping them out of anything from a muddy puddle to a raging sea so as it is so hot we filled a paddling pool in the garden expecting them to leap in.
You can take a dog to water but you can't make it get in. Neither of them ws interested and even a tennis ball could't get them in, Pippin leaned as far as he could to retrieve it.
I will leave it up tomorrow and then use it to top up the pond which has a slow leak and needs filling.
I had a paddle though!
