Woke up, got out of bed...
...dragged a brush through my hair.
Was intending on taking other Mrs BB out for some breakfast on Biscuit. Sometimes it's nice to just get out of the house away from everything. Unfortunately there were more important things that just had to be done though.
The first was arranging a birthday cake for youngest. There is still 3 weeks to go but yes fair enough that did need sorting. Over a coffee at Portland Basin I smoothed things over with eldest who I have apparently been emotionally neglecting...I mean yes I may have but we are like passing ships - she often has earbugs blasting music into her ears and I do have a busy time of things in general...that's how our house is.
A quick trip to nearby IKEA and home. I wheeled Biscuit out of the garage and then got sequestered into the back garden to trim some bushes with the poled hedge trimmer. They probably needed it and so got trimmed, but upon finishing them I peeled away and hinted that 'sime fresh air & countryside' would do us good.
Other Mrs BB eventually followed and off we pop-popped over the Snake Pass, took the lane over Great Hucklow and rolled into Tideswell to take a breather outside St.Johns. We listened to the bell practice going on inside (very nice if a little loud) and had a wander around to blip some of the gargoyles. Love gargoyles!
After bimbling back through Buxton and having some pizza for tea, I had a video chat with Ms.Arell. The quiet kitchen was less so as the call progressed (grrrr). Is there no peace of the day of rest?!
