Black-tailed Skimmer

A lovely wander this afternoon ..... pleasantly warm without the humidity of recent days :-)

There were quite a few Ringlet & Gatekeeper butterflies fluttering about & we also saw a couple of Small Skipper ... tried to get a photo but it was a bit breezy & they came out blurred!

Luckily this male Black-tailed Skimmer landed on the road for a warm up in the sunshine ...... managed to get this after creeping up slowly :-)

At least by landing on the road he wasn't being blown about!
