The new ferry
For the Isles of scilly.when we went to Newlyn on Saturday it was out on trials.so went again today and it was moored in the harbour.it was due to begin service tomorrow but due to unforseen circumstances it has been put back a week. When it does sail it will get passengers to Scilly in under 2 hours.the St Ives Barnabas was built as a dipping lug rigged pilchard driver in 1881.it is owned by Cornish Maritime Trust.it was lovely to see her in the harbour this morning. Then we went to M&S in Hayle for a few things.
