Bealach

The forecast wasn't great for the walk I was planning today with RS (whom I meet through the u3a) and as forecast the rain started as we set off on the Bealach route from Pitlochry to Killiekrankie.  However the rain didn't amount to much and once we reached the high point the mist started to clear and the sun even made an appearance later.

We stopped at Killiekrankie for coffee before continueing back into town along the Garry and Loch Faskally. The sun even made an appearance.

RS has an interest in wildflowers and it was interesting to learn the names of the many different ones we saw.

At 10 miles, this was the longest walk I'd done in a while and I really enjoyed it. Hopefully I will manage some more hikes over the coming weeks.

This evening I hosted our Gaelic reading group - slightly daunting but seemed to work out OK.
