Ms. Cardinal

The result of a foray to the garden to look for a blip. Ms. Cardinal is sitting atop the deer fencing that surrounds our vegetable garden. Fencing, which I hasten to add, does not keep the groundhog out. We have so far, however, finally managed to create some tomato cages that are actually foiling the groundhogs efforts to completely demolish things. So far.

Extras: Story - last fall The Husband brought home a bunch of fancy looking pumpkins that had been thrown away after Halloween. As they began to rot then ended up in our compost. And now, out of the compost pile, has emerged a plant that looks like it's from The Little Shop of Horrors. It has climbed the fence and seems to be bearing some large pumpkin like fruit. Ye gods.
