Built between 1540-45 for over 400 years, Pendennis Castle protected Cornwall from invasion, today it provided Paddy with his playground, that’s him playing ‘Dead Ant’ in the foreground with the main (only) entrance above him in the background.
The morning was spent at the funeral of Clare’s friend and colleague we attended his memorial service a week or so ago.
Today was equally sad.
The afternoon walk blew away the sadness, the sheer joy on Paddys face, even at the end of the five miles, is enough to raise a smile on anyone.
Change of plan for Josh, he’s heading north instead of west.
