Visiting the Burrell Collection

The ceramics are always a favourite, this colour is celedon, apparently named after character in a French play or story.  (we are always drawn to the colour, the glaze of our own tableware from Highland Stoneware is glazed in celedon).  I like the colour of the bowl as well. 

Further along ceramics coloured red looked very attractive. And the coloured glass of three hedgehogs I decided could become our family coat of arms, although the hedgehogs would have to become cats. 

A good visit with soup and bread roll part way through. When asking an attendant for information it was mentioned the car park wasn’t free, oops, we hurtled out and bought a ticket, I do so hate buying car parking tickets where you need to phone or download an app. The container of pound coins for this purpose was empty, I now remember raiding it a couple weeks ago.   Anyway we are on their system should we come across it again. That parking space near the entrance, excellent, nearly cost us £60.00 fine, we didn’t see any signs for payment although fair to say I didn’t think to look closely.

A good visit, too much to take in though, if we lived nearer frequent visits in small time slots would be better.
