Rowing out to the point

What is the point of rowing out to the point and back? Well … it is there, and if you don’t, then there is no point in not being there!

Most importantly of all though. While you are rowing there you have a point to reach and on the way back the point has been made.

I think that says it all, except that the real joy is the journey, working the boat smoothly with a jolly crew of splendid friends out on the water on a balmy evening surrounded by waves and gulls.

No dolphins today - but they have seen the point long ago.
