A quiet night
This was Reading Services on the M4 at around midnight on Monday night. I had gone to pick up my daughter, Jen, and her friend, Charlie, from Flackstock, a one day music festival held in memory of the late Caroline Flack and to raise money for charities she supported. Mental health awareness is a major theme given the tragic circumstances of her death. Jen and Charlie had enjoyed themselves and we popped into the service station on the way home. It was incredibly quiet, which I thought very unusual for the height of summer albeit many schools haven't broken up for the holidays yet. The main photo is of the striking roof lights arrowing away as you look up. The extra shows just how empty the place was. Happily, it was a trouble-free trip home which is just as well as I have a Teams call at 09.00 in the morning.
