Family portrait number one...!

We spent a lovely day today at the Eekholt Wild Animal Park, where we saw many varieties of deer, wild boar, wolves, badgers, racoons (which I love), owls, woodpeckers, herons, storks, cranes, foxes, and many more beautiful animals. Here we are reflected in a pond, looking for frogs. We didn't see any today, but I did get lucky with a lovely shot of a family of five storks on their nest! There is a stork sanctuary at Eekholt, which I've mentioned before, where storks can come and go as they please.

The best thing about Eekholt is that you can bring your dog. There were lots of dogs there with their owners (on leads), and we saw a lovely small female border terrier. Alfred tried chatting her up, but she wasn't interested! Her loss I'd say! :-)
